Global Scout Camp at Mt. Deok-yu: Building the New World Together
From June 25th to 31st, 1997, approximately ten thousand scouts and leaders from thirty countries around the world gathered at a camping ground in Mt. Deok-yu. The event was themed “Act with Pride, Build the New World”, fostering international friendships and collaboration among participants.
During the camp, we will engage in activities that enhance our knowledge and skills developed through scouting, all within the embrace of Mother Nature. Various programs will challenge us to train both body and spirit, offering experiences beyond the ordinary.
Our goal is to deepen international understanding and contribute to the local community, our nations, and the world. I am honored to present a stamp exhibition organized by the main office, aimed at promoting the natural disposition of democratic citizenship. In conjunction with this, I will also be publishing a special meter stamp.
